What an event!

And how tough are these blokes / girls..

One day they are in monsoonal down pour !! and then bull dust beyond belief ~

And one bloke running a 1967/69 367cc DKW two stroke and another a 150cc what- not and having a total ball ~

And who thought a Mini Cooper would be in there and actually full on competitve ~

What a bugger ~ Robbie Gordon out by day three ~ he always adds colour and a fun element ~

Another great watch , the scenery is astounding ~

There was a "Monster" sponsored Mini Cooper S ~ severely modified of course but about day 6 ~ it looked like the thing had found a IED ~ Fook!!! DESTROYED the vehicle ~ stunning ~ And worse still another team Monster X3 BMW also was destroyed ~

And then a french man was leading one of the Bike stages and ran out of fuel ~ there was ramblings and translations in French when he waved down another biker ~ and the rider yells ~ "YEAH !! RIGHT MATE !!! " Almost surreal Ozzie moment ~ ~

Jacob Smith the Ozzie went on to take 32nd ~ a long way from his target of top ten ~ but hey that's the Dakar ~
