Need Help & Manuals for Crusader Sport 1959

Hi, guys

My Name is Primoz, from Slovenija, I am new to this forum, and recently I got an Enfield Crusader Sport 1959.
The bike is in pretty good shape, but when I rode it a couple days ago, the chain snapped, blocked the sprocket, thereby also the gearbox, and oil poured out from the engine block-where the chain is comming out. As you can see, a messy situation. My question would be, what is it likely to have happend and could have been destroyed, to cause the oil to leak out of the engine block. The oil was leaking from the chain sprocket. Obviously I am going to have to open the gearbox, but before I do that, I just wanted to consult with some of you more experinced guys. I am also a little handycaped, since I dont have a proper Manual for my Crsader Sport 1959 model.
