Like many of the Coventry makes, Triumph had their roots in the bicycle industry, beginning motorcycle production in 1902.

66 Triumph 6T

Hi there,
Wondering if someone can help to ID the front end setup that came on a bike I recently bought. The bike is a 66 6T #DU32949. The front tube covers extend all the way to the top of the tubes. It has a non nacelle setup. I have read that Triumph discontinued the nacelle late in the production run for 66. Is this one of those bikes? If so, what is the correct headlamp setup, as the current setup looks aftermarket. Also what sidecover should it have? Bonneville with the key & light switch? Any info would be appreciated or pics especially.
PS- Wanted to send a pic but it says its too big to mail- what to do?

Use a photo edit programme to shrink the size of the photo and re post OR post it to something like photobucket and use the IMG tags.

Or - go to local library and see if they have a book about restoring triumph twins - some of them have excellent histories about when things were changed.
