KH250 B4 Restoration

Hi rebuilding my 250 thought you may like to see it as it takes shape, me with said pile of bits as bought

frame blasted and powder coated and ready for the spend spend spend part

looks like a good start to the project as a lot seems to have been done, have you check that all the bits are there, if any are missing nows the time to start the search for them as the Jap bikes seem to be a lot harder to find the parts for than the old British bikes.

By the look of those stella boxes if that is all you got 80% is missing, but the 20% you have looks nice & shiny

There was a few more bits that i couldn't be bothered to drag out the garage to take the pic, but the shiny bits are all rechromed, new wheels etc. spent about £1500 quid and counting on parts! mostly its electrical parts missing, loom, rectifier etc. by the way theres a story to this bike, i was its first owner in 1980 when i was 18, sold it in 1987 and started looking for it on the internet in 2006 found it last march and brought it home from Newcastle( i live in Lincolnshire) 30 years after buying it!! nearly to the day

Now that's freaky finding it after selling it, and in such a state, best of luck with the final assembly and keep us posted.

Check for a dealers parts fiche which cover all models as many of the parts will be common to other models and it will make it easier to find rather than looking for just one model. there was some one on EBay some time back who had taken the trouble to data base all the part numbers against all models.
