COIL REPLACEMENT

Anyone know what can be used to replace the coil in a 1972 Honda CL 350.New ones are just not available and used ones can go as high as $150. on Ebay..Surely some new coils that are similar should be out there.Im sure mounting will be different but thats easy to solve.

Actually I thought I had it down...Its the ignition coil..

IMO ~ and experience ~ almost any coil can be adapted ~

The impedence is an issue ~ and 3 ohms is about right.

Rather than pay big buck for ordinary Lucas coils, I fitted Yamaha single coils to my Trident T150V coupled with Tri-Spark ~

( Steve Kelly who owns and produces Tri-Spark was a tad reserved about the yamaha coils but they work just fine and I feel they produce a more efective spark anyway ~ )

Not au fait with these CBs, but if they use the same wasted spark system as the later Hondas, then why not use a coil from a CD 200 or similar?
Unless originality is paramount, in which case you're fecked...
