My Grand Dad's Zenith

Postby surferneil » Mon Aug 31, 2009 7:25 pm

Grateful for any help here.
This is my grandfather on his motorbike - maybe 1930s? Obviously it's a Zenith, but I know nothing about it - grateful for any information at all.

Thanks very much.

Dont know too much about Zeniths, but had a look about and came up with this pic of a similar bike.

Image

1921 A model fitted with a 494cc oil-cooled Bradshaw flat-twin engine was introduced and was soon listed with the choice of the Gradua gear or a three-speed Sturmey-Archer gearbox and all-chain drive.

I take it the one in the pic above is the Gradua gear model and your Grandfathers is fitted with a three-speed Sturmey-Archer gearbox and all-chain drive below

Hope thats of some help
