EE doesn't sound right, if it's HE or HD then these are the year i.d's

1970 HD27850 to KD60280 JD24848 to ND60540
1971 KE00001 to HE25250 NE01436 to HE30869

Not sure what difference to tell U.K from U.S and as the bike is 40 years old things are likely not original cosmetically.
And likely U.S models stayed in U.K.

Main things i think were U.S / Exports models had higher handlebars, and mufflers.

I had a registered here as 71 ( likely made 1970 as had jacaranda /silver tank) was a great wee bike.

Join the TOMCC and they'll be able to say if it's a re-import.
Be prepared for a real old-time club where rule 7b " no member shall have fun of any sort in this club" still prevails.
Winkers, the lot of 'em... monkey

Iv'e been member of TO NZ for 15 years, agree bunch Hinkley riding cardigans some of them, but then i don't contribute much now (like everyone else), i got sick of pulling hens teeth years ago to get something happening in my area.
Wonder why i bother at times, but membership gets 10 % discount at a major parts outlet, and worth being a member when you own two grandad axes.
But yes, likely a guru in the club that will know an answer.
