bike got stolen

Postby scubabiker » Mon Sep 28, 2009 9:14 am

it was chained to a tree next to my girlfriends bike. they had used bolt cutters to cut through my motrax chain. then smashed the steering lock off but they obviously didnt have a clue how to hotwire a bike as all the wires where unplugged then they put a screwdriver in the ignition, but cause the wires had been pulled out the ignition was plugged into nothing. so only damage was a few cut wires and my steering lock. oh my chain was a link shorter.

Bugger, at least you still have it.

I know it's not much use now, but you can buy a tracker for any bike that will be monitored by the 51 police forces and assist the recovery. It's not cheap but it all depends on what value you put on your bike.
Needless to say I haven't got one! :64

my old man is a copper and ive heard it from him that the police dont look for stolen bikes. the tracker will only come up if the police turn it on and its in a certain distance. and in all honesty a tracker isnt gonna stop them stealing and trashing it. got my alarm today so will have a go at fitting it. only problem is my bike has no idicators, no starter motor, no fusebox.... the list goes on.
