Classic Bike Mascot

Postby The Doctor » Wed Jan 27, 2010 10:07 pm

We're going to get a mascot designed for our forum but need some feedback and ideas on how he will look. Personally I like Ogri but he's copyrighted so maybe a variation of him, am going to get a graphic designer to knock up some ideas. Maybe holding a spanner with a pool of oil by his feet, obviously dressed in classic bike gear, a variant of the chap below maybe?

Any graphic designers/arty types out there?

Feedback please.......

The pic of the bloke on the yellow Norton, is that a photoshop knock-up?

He looks too small to put either foot down, let alone ride it....

Nope, the guy was just short of 6' if memory serve me correct by a 1/4" the commando was a modified SS model with 11.5 to1 compression, 15 T gear box sprocket, and I seem to remember a statement that gearbox had been rework with a one off gearbox internals, it was was when we were at the NOC Gloucester Branch Ram Roast in Wales some time in the late 70's or early 80's we all used the lane that went through the pass to get to the pub, took about 30 mins to get there, when we returned to the camp site we left him at the Pub, on arriving back at site we found him already parked up, and fetching the no ice cold beers from the stream, seems he decided it took to long to go round the mountian and through the pass, so he just rode up and over the mountian to the campsite.

Also it seems he turned up for the Ram Roast Weekend carrying a sheep strapped acrossed the handle bars, some how he also was carring a Porta Loo and porta loo tent, Oh BTW, that was him after he had unloaded most of his gear, put his tent up and set up his cooking gear and was brewing up when the photo was taken.

What do you think of this chap?

Should he have colour, be more animated, add the CB.net banner?

Thoughts please.......

Thanks
