my favorite triple

Postby Snibor » Tue Jun 30, 2009 11:44 am

this is my fav triple .... I have owned her for 18 years ... she lived in the US , Hong Kong and now in Brisbane ....

runs like a swiss watch especially since installing the Tri-Spark ignition

this on is not like most of them ... garaged and ridden to events once or twice a year .... I have done 70,000 miles on her ... and now currently undergoing some surgery to replace bearings and rods ...

And "we" had hell of a job 'splitting them" to call the trophy Winner ~

(For the unknowing... Triples Down Under Rally #1 Caloundra ; L-R Paul Bryant /NZ/ Viking exhaust - Phil Pick UK Triple Cycles / Moire' Oz / Steve Kelly Oz Tri- Spark Ingitions; judging on Show day )

Stuart

well i did not win though i personally chose the judges ...... mine was easy to pick ....mine was the one that had even wear around the tread and no stipples hanging off the tyres and flat in the middle (or flat spot from being tied down on the trailer )

Stuart

i don't really care about show stuff to be honest i didn't even enter it ... someone else stuck a number on it .... the only place i want to win is on the track .... not on the X75 though .... hell the just the thought of the of end the straight with that brake and long forks is giving me nightmares thinking about it :)

still my favorite though since i sat on one at earls court show in 1973 .... had to have one one day ... and that day came eventually ...

Alan

yes paul does some welding :)
