Photo's/Information

The name Ariel was used by Shakespeare in his play "The Tempest". He used the name to describe his airy spirit, loosely based upon the Roman messenger of the Gods, Mercury. Just why the Ariel concern should come to adopt the name of a Shakespeare character, is a complex story.

Hi all,

I am looking for photo's or a detailed exploded view of a Solex ACD Carb off a 1953 Ariel Square Four, the Enaugeral edition. !953 was the only year the bike came with this certain style of carb. It looks like some monkey modified it, hence why I would prefer to see a photo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

Evening Salty, don't know anything about Ariels but could I suggest the Ariels Owners Club, I'm sure there must be someone there who would know of such things.

If you're stopping in for a bit, how's about a round at the bar so you can meet the lads and lasses? :151 :151 :151 :150 :208
You sick little monkey!!!!!
