I am looking at my first BSA
and im trying to get a vib if this is a good idea to look at.

1970 BSA Royal Star
they are asking $4000.00 Canadian dollars.
all they have is the add is
Runs great, 1800 in recent reciepts. Starts first kick. $4000 firm.

What should I be looking for... Its running fine he says and it is INSURED to
ride on our roads right now

A Royal star is generally a good thing. As a 500cc version of the 650cc bike its not exactly going to set a land speed record BUT it should be capable of trundling along at modest highway speeds for some considerable time. If you are happy with that you will enjoy it - if you are always in a hurry - you will enjoy it less so...

The usual BSA twin plain bush blues apply but if its going good now it should continue to do so if used sensibly and the oil changed frequently...
