my vf750f (yes THAT model)

got a great deal from my uncle in law on his old 86 vf750, it was a non runner, turned out to be the cam chain tensioner on front head (no surprise there), i swapped it for the newer one along with the oil line thing (the chain was so loose it had worn against the oil line!). put the front tyre the right way round, new plugs, new oil and filter and new coolant (full service really). been trouble free since i got it. made a set of loud pipes (e marked :6 ) anyway heres a picture Image
my plan is to make a tribute bike to the mfp interceptors from the first mad max film, its gonna be an easy job as the paint is nearly already there!
will get a vid of the bike, the pipes sound amazing, just 3 inches slash cut out the collector box. will dyno it hopefully this upcoming year (our dyno power pack thing got blown and we need to send it to sweden to be fixed)

its a real nice old bike, nice to ride and plenty of power (shame i cant use it 70kmh speed limit!). i do miss my old suzuki, but the honda is very good all rounder, ive ridden it up to the mountain a couple of times (gravel and dirt). christmas was good, ive spent it all walking around on a walking stick (im 25!) because i had a knee operation, bad news is the problem isnt fixed so i guess the problem is with me for life (crunching and pain when i bend down/walk). got a referral to a specialist clinic for my condition (type 4 Ehlers-Danlos syndrome). so maybe things are looking up. still no snow here yet, although i suspect it will come next week when im back at work (if i can work!)

Do you not have any track days near you, so you can open it up?

yeah there is a track in the nearest town (haugasund), but its being developed at the mo, there are a few roads where you can go fast and an 8km tunnel where ive had it in top gear at full gas.
ferry roads are good for doing standing starts, me and the guy i work with often dragrace customers bikes down there!
