Hi there RT3 welcome. For those like me ignorant to what an RT3 is, it's a Yamaha classic trail from 1973

Looks like my mate's old DT175 bought new in early '74.
Went well for a year or so, then ate it's own gearbox.

well I am not doing a full blown resto on it yet just want it complete and working, so I am trying to collect everything that goes on the bars, piston rings, cables, wiring,.. right now the cylinder is froze on the case and I have tried the rubber mallet and no success. Is heating good? a soldering torch?

Heating the cylinder will just make it expand.
Have you tried any penetrating oil to help free it up?
I knew here at work, we will throw parts in the deep freeze, this will shrink the parts.
