This is my on-going project nearing completion.

Yamaha FZR 400 Japanese import 1986.

Note the oil trail, the previous owner ran with a loose chain that came off and 'hand genaded' the waterpump, push rod, blitzed the front sprocket cover and also put a crack in the sump.

The strip down begins

The engine's in a right state

The frame, wheels and fork stantions are sent off for powder coating.
The engine has a basic strip and a repair to the sump.
A braced swinging arm was found on e-bollocks which I've had polished.
Wheels are fitted with Bridgestone Battlax tyres, brake hoses replaced with braided and brakes overhauled.
Engine is painted and dropped back into the frame.

The tank and seat are sent off to the spray-shop.
I want a 'naked' look for the bike, without turning it into a streetfighter.
Ebay again for a nose cone.
Chain and sprockets all round.

Waiting on the seat now to come back from the upholster

Graves is that an ER6 in the back ground?

Looks like you got some parts to find with the Yam.
