Can anyone id this bike for me?

I just bought it but have no idea what it is.
The plan is to rebuild it from the ground up.
The reg plate says its a 1974 bike.

Any help is very greatfully received.

Thanks
Dale

Looks like a Ural or Dneiper to me. :503 it and I'm sure you'll get loads of info.

Fantastic, It appears to be an Ural as you have said.
Now I can get a few pictures from google to see what parts are missing.
For instance the rear mudguard has holes on the top like something was mounted there which turns out to be a pillion seat.

Thanks so much, Now I can start sourcing parts. :209

Mate, I think you might need a front wheel before worrying too much about the pillion seat....

I was given one by a mate off to Uni many years ago, but the engine was shot. After messing around with it for a while I sold it on for fifty quid, only to be gutted to f*ck to see it a month later with an old Beemer engine in it. I wish I'd known that before I moved it on.. :28

Lol I have the front wheel.
They fetch decent money round here(Leicester area) purely cos noone knows what they are.
The engine on this one is good.
