Yamaha CT1 175cc Oil Mixer

Postby Formegolf » Tue Nov 06, 2012 10:08 pm

Hello,
Hope everyone is having a good day. How do you tell if the oil mixer is working on a CT1 175cc? It's purrringgg real good now after using clean gas but just wanted to see if there was a fast way to tell if the oil unit is working and mixing well...

Thank you,
Have a great day!

when I still had a bike with a auto mixer, and I wanted to check it was working I used to pre mix some petrol oil mix, take the out tube off the auto mixer and start the engine seem to remember that it had to out put X amount of oil over a set period of time at tick over, have you got a Haynes manual for it, I am sure they explain how to check it out in full, and if you are at an auto jumble you should be able to pick one up second hand cheap, if not google search for one or just check evil bay.
