my 2c as a registered pesty , Approved Chemical Handler with training in hazardous goods, and hands on experience with a host of incidents with :40 s in the meat industry when i was previously a chemical controller ... :63
I spent some time reducing excess chemical use (40 to 12), training of handlers at work. The best thing i helped with was a central mixing unit that pumps premixed chemical foam through pipes to all departments for cleaning. This reduced raw chemical transit and stores around the place, less people handling, big cost savings, no mixing.

Good and simple rules for any chemical (including household stuff) are ...

1/ always read the label, it will have handling instructions. :53

2/ always follow the label instruction, if it says to, wear the mask, they are not as ugly as dead people. :11

3/ never mix chemicals (beer/ wine :153 :145 )

4/ know what to do if you get poisoned :8 :67

5/ don't get complacent, i did once, got a whiff of spray from a mag tyre cleaner, not good. :51 monkey

6/ store product safely, get rid of anything you don't need safely. :502

Kids .... :162 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9nDV4ZF ... re=related

Seen another similar and true video in a training session run by an ex army bob disposal expert (who did tours at Nam beating locals at setting off foot mines, very interesting), anyway the boy was shaking the bottle (chlorine and coke) and his arm blew off.
Also showed us pics of damage from your everyday workshop acetaline bottle tipping up :42 .

PC that reacts with the sugar has been used in pesticides, common ingredient of detonator caps. :4

Another common pesty is Methyl Bromide used for fumigating, slowly getting banned around the world.
Here some kids are playing with the main ingredient Bromide

Kids should not be able to access these chemicals, if your'e a kid just watch the videos, don't try it .

great to watch from a distance
