BSA Goldstar The Halcyon Days

Postby Big Single » Mon Jul 16, 2012 7:57 pm

Hi everyone this is my first post, myself and a few friends have recently posted a film on Youtube called BSA Goldstar The Halcyon Days with an accompanying song The Halcyon Days written and performed by me, the filming was done back in May around the Surrey Downs, it was filmed and edited by Richard Taylor who has a long history of current affairs/ documentary films, we had a terrific time over the two days it took, the lads who rode the Goldies felt like they'd been transported back in time to late 50's early 60's, Dinger was wearing his 51 year old original BSA helmet !!
So thanks for your time have a look and leave a comment if you like, cheers.

Thanks for sharing ... I am a BSA fan fun stop..
The action clips are fantastic..

Iam a mature age Baby boomer and this is inspirational ~

I went on this morning on the Trident and had a ball! We stopped at a roadhouse and there were heaps of much younger Sports bike riders present~ but it always a buzz when the younger guns salute and admire the old 50> 1970s bikes.

As one Aprilia rider exclaimed ~ "What went wrong? these 70s bikes are all class .. the handling, the style ! Fantastic ! "

just noticed that the April event was not at Claudelands

22 APRIL: SWAP MEET and Show 'n Shine. NEW VENUE. Forlongs Underground Carpark. Frankton Shopping area.
But seems to be a new event so maybe they have lost the use of the Claudelands site, the last time I was there they were complaining about the high cost of getting space at Claudelands since they have been doing the site up, and the Swap meet has been getting less and less for some years now, even though its one of the biggest in New Zealand

Great video. I have also been a BSA fan since a long time. I really liked the action clips in the video; the video has been directed neatly. The Hamilton swap meet in 2009 was held at Forlongs Underground Carpark, Frankton Shopping area, not Claudelands. Regards.
